Been a delay in between my features, but never fear we're back on track, this week showing two awesome and inspiring female illustrators who's work I truly admire! The first up is Katie Coulton! Children book and all round fantastic artist! 

I studied alongside Katie at Uni in Birmingham, and her dedication to her draftmanship is staggering! Her sketchbooks would make me want to cry everytime! Her use of lines, combined with the spacing and atmosphere that surrounds her characters conjures up striking and evoking images that really impress the eyes! What I really love about Katie's work is that their is a history of traditional illustration in her work which she refreshingly makes her own through colour, expression and situational drawing.
