Now and again, we come across a designer that hits the spot in pretty much every which way, one of these is recently discovered Illustrator and Designer Sarah Maycock. From the moment of meeting her i could tell she was going to blow us all away at the first chance she got. Recently graduating from Kingston University, this wonderful woman has overtaken most illustrators of her age with grace and wisdom. Her skills ranging in many different creative practice, she is definitely one to keep an eye out for. Her use of watercolor, mixed media, typography and print is used with such ease and beauty, whilst consistently keeping it exciting and interesting, something that most designers spend years trying to perfect. And the best part is, this is only the beginning for Sarah, it's almost impossible to see where the future will take this bright young artist.

This abstract graphic novel is a brilliant example of Sarah's determination to push things to a new level whilst still maintaining a consistent personality through her work. Here Sarah eloquently helps us understand the ideas behind her piece:
"I suppose each abstract being represents a person, or even an idea, and what happens when they don't fit. Each gets angry and argues their case, but neither is right. Then comes the frustration and the deconstruction of each point. But then things always sort of come back together and form something new, and normally better."
we look forward to seeing where Sarah's work goes in the near future.
