Festivals are a staple of the British summertime, combining music, the great outdoors and lashes of alcohol to form a beautiful combination that can create memories (good or bad) to last a lifetime. So, it's lovely to see a brand spanking new one pop up in Manchester in the form of Friends Of Mine, a 10,000 capacity weekend event on May 20th, 21st & 22nd.
The line up includes a host of outstanding artists including:
The Buzzcocks, The Fall, The Charlatans, Yuck, Toro Y Moi, John Cooper Clarke, Young Knives, Black Lips, The Cribs, The Answering Machine, Badly Drawn Boy, Mr Scruff, The Whip, A Certain Ratio, Flats & a whole host of new and experienced acts over the course of the weekend.
There will also be comedy, poetry, DJs and film screenings, with Howard Marks presenting a showing of Mr Nice in the cinema tent.
Tickets are on sale for the low, low price of £89.50 right now.
